American couple, Alania and Trey had their heart’s set on a wedding at a Scottish Castle and they enlisted our help in putting together their plans for the day.
They selected the iconic Dalhousie Castle, just outside Edinburgh as their perfect venue for their celebrations, and together we put together a week of entertainment in Edinburgh, including a welcome dinner, a ghost tour of the city and spa treatments for the ladies.
On the wedding day itself, the couple enjoyed a traditional religious ceremony in the castle’s own private chapel, with a traditional Scottish bagpiper.
The stunning wedding cake was a bespoke design, chosen by the bride and cut in a traditional ceremony with the bagpiper using a ceremonial sword.
The wedding breakfast decor was in a navy and gold theme, complete with stunning flowers from the wonderful Roseparks in Edinburgh; white linens with gold chiavari chairs with silk navy sashes and custom made luggage tags as place cards / favours.
The bouquets were beautifully designed in simple whites with a touch of blue and the table flowers featured tall, grand displays with gold candles and votives for a simple, elegant feel.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed live music and dancing in the adjoining rooms at Dalhousie Castle; with traditional Scottish evening food.
